Portland is getting ready for their first round mathcup against the Everett Silvertips starting Friday in the Rose Garden in Portland. Everett has lost in the first round of the playoffs for 5 straight seasons, including sweeps at the hands of Tri City and Portland the last 2 years. Portland has advanced past the first round for 3 straight seasons.

Portland is 9-1 against Everett this year and has outscored them 50-22 overall. The playoff schedule will be:
-Friday 7:00 pm @ Portland (Rose Garden)
-Saturday 7:00 pm @ Portland (Rose Garden)
-Wednesday(3/27) 7:05 pm @ Everett
-Friday (3/29)7:35 pm @ Everett
-Saturday (3/30)7:00 pm @ Portland (Coliseum)-if necessary
-Monday (4/1)7:05 pm @ Everett-if necessary
-Wednesday (4/3)7:00 pm @ Portland (Coliseum)-if necessary

So if it gets there, the Hawks will play games 5 and 7 in the Memorial Coliseum. All of Everett's home games will be at Comcast Arena. Portland is 5-0 at home vs. Everett and 4-1 on the road. Portland goalie Mac Carruth's leg injury is being called a :"slight muscle pull." He should be ready for Friday.
